I think Arizona would pass on this. Being generous, that 2nd covers the cost of dumping Armia's 2x$3.4M; meaning you're offering up a 2025 1st/2024 3rd/Struble/Kidney for Keller. I just don't think that's enough for the Coyotes to move a PPG winger who's still only 24 and can conceivably be a part of the new core they're trying to build out there.

Probably right but that 2025 1st rd pick is unprotected and the demise of the Flames could make it a Top 15 pick which should be enough to entice the Yotes

You need a big asset to get a young star like Keller. It's about quality not quantity. Throwing all the mild assets the habs don't need to get what would instantly be the best player in the team should ring a bell.

I also think that a possible, if absolutely everything goes south for Calgary, top 15 pick in 2 years is not enticing enough for Arizona to part ways with their best offensive forward since Doan and Whitney.
The rest of the package is not bad per say, there is just nothing of impact.

I wouldn`t consider Riley a mild asset. He still has to prove himself at the NHL level. He is a solid prospect

Struble is also an excellent prospect. He will be a solid NHL D in a couple of years.

And not to mention that CAT was sold for a lot less.

Riley and Strubble both don,t make the top 3 of the habs prospect pool in their respective position in a pool that already lack of star potential. They are certainly not bad prosepect but can't be the main piece in trade for a player the age and caliber of Keller.

Also the Debrincat situation is not good comparison since he clearly wasn't in sens future plan and that they actively try to shop him where it's not the case with the yotes and Keller. Also, he's already signed long term on a good deal.

It’s miles off. Cat also was 1 year away from UFA, Keller is 5, it’s not even remotely similar.
