This "new era" is an aging group that is going to decline. Scheifele is a legit 1C and I think it's someone the bruins should target if the extension is going to be less than $10m and less than 6 years, but everything else doesn't make sense.

You're trading DeBrusk for a guy who's going to give you 20 less goals and 20 less points who is 4-5 years older. Zacha is a much better 2C if that is what you wanted him for. The only way the Bruins are trading JDB is if he makes it clear he is going to test free agency and even then I think they can get a better player or a 1st in return.

Zboril. Is a rental, replacement level LHD and has no value and with the 1st being 2 drafts away and expecting retention and an extension, makes it an easy no for Winnipeg.
