Leafs pass on that Dallas trade. I think you made the trade assuming Hakanpaa is a top 4 rd. He is not. He is a bottom pair RD.

As much as I like the trade for Dallas, they can't afford that. Trading Benn doesn't come to question with his full NMC, and as a captain he holds much power in the locker room, he's basically untradeable.

Imo the trade is weak for the Leafs though. They should not do that.

Iron Man Murray going to cost more than 3 and a 5. if that deal was out there he'd be gone already

That value for Toronto is brutal. Agree that Dallas probably can’t afford it but from a pure value perspective it’s highway robbery
