Pretty big shake up on both rosters. Dont see it happening, but it would be interesting to see for sure. I think Galchenyuk is looking for a little more cash than that.

There's a starting point for this deal, but you're a little off in value.

Counter-offer
MTL Gives:
Max Pacioretty [35-goal scorer, cheap contract]
Alex Galchenyuk [shaky 20-30-goal scorer, untapped elite skill]
Andrew Shaw [similar to Gallagher, but lower trade value]

ANA Gives:
Sami Vatanen [top 4, 4.875M cap dump]
Andrew Cogliano [end of career, shaky 15-goal scorer, 3M cap dump]
Jacob Larsson [late first rounder, but production lacking during development]
Nick Ritchie [promising first rounder, 15-goal season]
1st round pick

Only problem is that Vatanen is a right defense and we're stacked there, but it's okay, we'll figure something out. Deal?

Still don't see this trade ever happening. Too many moving pieces, it would change the chemistry and not help either team at the start.

Also, can't trade both our first and Larsson in this trade. BM didn't let Larsson go to Vegas, I don't think he trades him to MTL.

This also hurts us in the long run, won't be able to resign Gibby, Patches, and Silfverberg the following year. Possibly only being able to sign 2 out of the 3 and Kase can't always be on the 4th line either.

LOL. No one wants Shaws' contract. you can keep him. Everyone hates him in Anaheim from the 2015 series with the blackhawks.

LOL true I did completely forget about that rivalry you guys have. Fair then, I'd still take the initial trade offer. Not sure why Montoya got handed over for nothing though.
