I wouldn’t say zero chance. He is an avid outdoorsman with 2 young children which I would argue western New York would be a paradise.

Western New York doesn't have anymore to offer, Than around his Detroit area hometown. He can just come home to still have the same advantages or more and be closer to family. Just like Alex DeBrincat.

The Sabres are content on goaltending. They do not need to overpay for a one-season rental player unless the Jets guaranteed a sign and trade.
