Cripes, Drouin playing above Tarasenko. I've seen everything now.

Drouin is going to lead the league in pts per dollar (I don’t care if it’s a tracked stat but him and RyJo are going to feast on playing with the M’s). The other thing is in COL line combinations on paper aren’t worth much as Bednar will blender like crazy and the only locks are when the Avs need a goal MacK and Mikko will be together and they will put whoever is hot with them. Personally I’d love to see Tarasenko in COL because they could slide him around all over with a variety of linemates giving different looks.

Bruh when he plays he produces points he is a 47pt per 82 game guy and getting to play with MacKinnon that should go up. Am I the eternal optimist yeah but my bet is he rides shotgun to MacKinnon and be the guy they run PP2 through and the only pressure will be on him to be a good supporting guy not THE guy.

You might be right with a stale cap, alot of players are signing one year deals and banking on next offseason due to cap going up by 4 million.

I was only stating 2 million cause of the article I wrote.

Tarasenko gets a 1 year deal, but at minimum he makes 5 million. So that number is very far off.

Little to optimistic imo. It’s been a long time since he was in Tampa and doing what he did. Drouin doesn’t have the same skill set to be a top line producing forward I’m not saying Tarasenko is elite, but at least he can play a bit better and has a better shot than Drouin.

Setting aside that a 47 point pace almost certainly won't come close to taking the point per dollar prize, let's also remember he's averaged like 41 games over the last four seasons. And that he hasn't topped seven goals since '18-19. And that he's nowhere near good/responsible enough to play top line. But hey, hope springs eternal in July.
