Dumba is not a 1RHD

He is. He may not be a great 1RD, but he can play the minutes.

Great 1RDs don't come as UFAs for that cheap.

So why pay him for a role he isn't. Honestly I'd rather demelo 1rhd as he allowed Morrissey to be a better player

Morrissey made DeMelo a better player. When Morrissey wasn't playing, DeMelo did not look like a Top 4 D.

You're not..... Since when did a #1RD go for only $4 million? That's barely enough for a low end 2nd pairing RD.

He isn't not a 1rhd lol he was behind spurgeon in Minnesota and hasn't really been good since that 50 point year that was years ago. Dumba is basically a copy of demelo where sure you can play him 1RD ideally 2RD you're ecstatic if he's you're 3RD. Just because a player can play in a role doesn't mean they are that role effectively. Demelo and Morrissey made each other better and paying 4m for dumba but having to retain and pay to get rid of schmidt (trade protection) doesn't make sense at all

They made each other better. Morrissey could be more offensive (majority played with demelo) and demelo got 27 points a career high for both. He's ideally a teams 2RD but if you can have him as a 3RD you are a true contender.

Dumba is more of a 1RHD then DeMelo is.

Dumba at 1RHD and DeMelo at 3RHD is an upgrade from what they are now.

And they have to pay 2m of schmidt and dump him to make it happen. Even though you have dumba at 4 it's basically 6 as you retained so you could get him let alone how you're trading schmidt to a non contender while he has trade protection dumba is not a 1rd that the jets should target as we need more than that in a 1rd

Any trade would have to have Schmidt's approval. Most trades on this site would have to have the player's approval.

This post increases WPG cap by only $50000.00. I still believe this post improves the defense as Dumba is better than DeMelo IMO.

At this point I do not know where WPG can get a 1RHD without weakening another part of the team or the future.
