I disagree. Leafs have a surplus of offence and desperately need defensive D. Pesce and mcdonagh are shutdown defenders and shot blocking machines. These trades balance the team out without decimating the farm system or putting themselves in cap hell.

Awful, Nylander > Pesce - not even close. If you want to move nylander out for defensive help, no problem (I disagree but to each their own) - at least get relatively equal value back. This is not that

The leafs biggest issue in every playoff series is scoring. Not defence scoring. This is dreadful
