Ya the habs would have 0 interest in that.

We saw with zadina whos from the same draft Drury at this point isnt worth anything. We already have ylonen from the 2018 draft class with a better nhl statline who is struggling to get a lineup spot.

Ditto for liljegren. Hes 24 and still getting healthy scratched. Hes a depth body nothing more.

The habs have no interest in retaining on anderson for 4 years for such a measly return.

Really , they gave up 1 good piece thats far lesser of a player then Nylander.
Im a bit confused here, We got lots of Jack Drury types in MTL ours currently is RHP a huge fan favorite With more Goals in 30 games then Drury will get in the next few years.
We value RHP at maybe a 3rd round pick

Toronto can pay for retention not the Canes. Additionally, the Canes couldn’t do that if they wanted without moving out another player.

I think CAR would be less concerned if it was viewed as Nylander being an upgrade on Kotkaniemi.
MTL would be more willing to move Anderson if we got something we valued and TML offered us nothing.

Kotkanemi and Bunting to TML for Nylander package?
Covers the Cap , Puts Bunting back in TML for a price they can live with for the 20 goal scorer

Then they can ignore the MTL trade for Anderson having filled both the hole on wing Bunting left by trading for him again and a piece to replace Nylander potentially.
Short term CAR gets the better player hands down and for 3 years are likely winners by a lot unless KK breaks out or Bunting hits 30-40 goals for the first time
