Schmaltz is not a center - he has been RW last two years (his best 2 by far).

Schmaltz can play center if he has wingers that can shoulder some of the defensive responsibilities. He can still work the middle in the O zone but he has played well on the wing the last couple of years.

As a Yotes fan this would be a big loss and I would worry about Keller losing his line pairing. That said this offer would require consideration, especially if the 1st is unprotected.

This is definitely what it would take to pry Schmaltz away from AZ. Frankly, I just don't think this is smart business by Boston. You need to hold on to your picks to prepare for a re-tool pretty soon so you don't have to go full tank and rebuild.
