Pit cannot afford to get rid of there next 4 top picks, they have been doing that for to long. 4 years ago pit is running with this deal and finishing that 3peat they were on but now i just dont think they can continue to give away there future for 1 maybe 2 more good seasons out of an old injury prone defensemen

Penguins say no. Too many futures. Plus, Petry apparently won't waive to go to SJS.

Petry says no.
Shark fans say yes to all the picks. But Petry won't waive to come here. His family is in Michigan. You need a 3rd team in the midwest to take Petry.

I think they should sell and get a ton of picks in pit, convince everyone that if they want to stay its going to be a long few years, unfortunate but its the way it goes, you can stay like Minnesota has in mediocracy their whole time as a franchise or just commit to restarting

I'm not even a pens fan and i would love to see Karlsson there but i dont think he is enough even to make that push to the cup while giving up your entire 2 years of development. There picks in the next few years should be all in the lottery so no point in wasting them away on an expensive aging defensemen

I would love to see him in PIT too; but they need more than offense. He is a liability in his own zone, and they didn't upgrade in net just hoping Jarry stays healthy AND in top form... lots to wager the final 3 years of playoff contention

I think they are in the same shoes as the capitals, but the caps were smart and have a decent head start to their rebuild by not trying to keep going. Made it the Ovi show hit 900 goals and then completely restart
