The Sabres decline. The Blackhawks can counteroffer with assets added to Murphy to balance the trade.

Not sure why the Hawks would be interested in this. They have insulation for Bedard with the guys they’ve already picked up in the off-season. Murphy’s a good middle pair guy who fills a need for a few years and insulates all the LD prospects they have. I think Murphy is a fair bit more valuable and a mid round pick doesn’t make up for that.

I don't think Buffalo would trade someone they just resigned and is most likely going to be in the organization after he retires . I think if they want to do that Boston, Captials or Pittsburgh would be better trade partners since their teams are going to be on the decline with no futures from year of win now.

Completely agreed! Okposo only leaves if he wants to chase a Cup his last season.... which unless he plans to play over another decade is NOT in CHI
