The Bruins need at least one (if not two), top 6 NHL C, not a prospect.

How about Ullmark for danault

Bruins aren’t gambling their proven long term future starting goalie for a Center prospect with terrible concussion problems and a rental winger that doesn’t even really benefit us as we aren’t a cup contender

Not a bad idea, I would look for an NHL ready C on an ELC and a 1st if I was Boston and even considering this, better option is moving Ullmark for a young top 6 C

Swayman has asked out to play west due to family reasons supposedly. Not really a thing of Boston being the one wanting to trade one of their two goalies as I'm sure they would love to run this tandem for the next 3-5 years. I do gotta admit the package is a bit contradicting but both are pieces they could use. Boston should rebuild, even if grabbing two top 6 C's this team isn't winning anything. Does make the Arivdsson piece seem useless. Something like Turcotte, ****emo, 3rd seems better.

This report was outright denied by Boston's GM. I am highly skeptical of the report, and I'd be very surprised if Swayman was traded at all. But I'd be completely shocked if he was traded for a return like this (with Boston sending a pick along to boot). There is no rush to trade him for a single prospect whose future is questionable due to injury. As the Bruins are not going to be cup contenders this year, Arvidsson really only gets sent along to make the cap hits work. The return has to be higher, or else Boston has no incentive to move Swayman.

I was hoping bruins were gonna be able to make a deal with Ottawa for pinto for one of our goalies and then they signed korpi. Really broke my heart lol.

Then their was Vilardi as well and the Dubois deal happened another gut wrencher hahah.

Though danault is 30 and would only be beneficial for us for a few more season he is one of the closer things we would be able to find as a replacement for Bergeron.
Given danault is more of a passer then shooter liked bergy he would probably fit well next to pasta or debrusk who are our top 2 snipers

I would want to see turcotte play first this year if he makes some progress and can stay healthy then I would definitely consider the deal around the TDL but there is a lot of things that need to go right for turcotte before I’d consider moving swayman for him.

Also can you site your source on swayman wanting to leave? I spend quite a bit of time on hfboards especially the bruins page and have yet to see any of the insiders say any report on swayman wanting to leave due to family reasons.

Also considering Alaska is on the other side of Canada and their isn’t any team really that close to where he is from outside Vancouver i can’t see how going from a 10 hour plane ride to a 6 hour plane ride would make that big of a difference

Of course! Being totally honest I became aware from this request from a couple users on this site and supposedly it originated from a Boston sports radio. I've found a few hockey sites which "report" on it which doesn't mean anything but does spread the message a bit.

I mean you can take that link 1 as you will, but it seemed like Sweeney shut it down pretty fast after that twitter comment

Yeah I mean it's not even Sweeney's comment which has me skeptical on the validity of it. GM's shut down rumours all the time, never ever seen one flat-out admit a trade request unless it's a Dubois like situation.

I mean Sweeney was pretty open about the debrusk situation just a couple years ago so I cant see him being able to hide swaymans request if it has any urgency to it. But until a player fully comes out and asks for a trade like
Debrusk/ Eichel/ Chychrun/ Dubois did I don’t find a whole lot of credibility from NHL pages that use “rumours” to get views. That’s kind of their job try to make a home run swing by grasping onto any little thing they are told or have supposedly heard

The Athletic is one of the largest NHL news pages in the world and so far half the stuff that has came out of the Bruins “insiders” on there has been proven to be false information and just them trying to get views by starting ****.

Wouldnt hate this, definitely think BOS and LA are great potential trade partners, but the Talbot signing put out that fire unfortunately.

I like Turcotte, if ur adding Arvidsson as the 2nd piece then Ullmark is the goalie to move, not Swayman. Would have to be a more attractive/cheaper piece than Arvidsson if theyre trading Sway

What would Arvidsson due for the Bruins center issues?
