Yes. Same point I have been making. It's not that some of these aren't fair value in a vacuum. It's just that this isn't the terms under which they would want to trade him. It would be for big game hunting, like Nylander, Lindholm, EK, etc. And yes, please quit throwing Hakanpää at us. We have 8 defenseman under contract. We could move one and still be full.

No. Carolina can't take Faksa and Hakanpaa because the only situation they'd move Pesce given their fragile state on the right side of the back end would be if they were picking up another D man to fill the void and Hakanpaa doesn't do that

Canes probably wouldn't take back any salary in a Pesce trade unless its a big name player. I'd be ok either Harley or Bourque + a 1st straight up if it meant we got like Karlsson or someone in a seperate deal.

Not that I disagree with Carolina saying no, but I thought that even without Pesce your right side would be fine. I feel like Burns - DeAngelo - Chatfield is a nice compliment to the strong left side y'all have.
