Petry declines, He's not wasting two years of his career. on a team that has no interest in winning.

The idea of giving up any assets in general for Petry is putrid. I mean at least get back some picks

Arizona at a point of flipping a second or two for another dman, don’t want to move anyone that is signed up and has played for the team all ready.

if you look at that arizona roster and think they have "no interest in winning" then you have no idea what you're talking about.

petry still doesn't wave his nmc though i think

"Some picks" it's too much. Petry is not useless d-man. Not at all. He was one of the most consistent d-man in our terrible D last season. He was better than Letang and Dumoulin defensively, for example. He can play both in PP1 and PK in Arizona. In he brings experience for a extremely young D core. I think it makes sense for both teams. The only problem is his salary, but Arizona can swallow easily. However, maybe Petry would decline to play for Arizona. I admit it.

PS.: Arizona playing with Cooley, Guenter and other very good young offensive players, I think this team has potential to surprise many ones, specially if one of their goalies plays solid.

I agree. As I said, Arizona can surprise many ones next season.

This isnt me crapping on him. He just makes a boat load of money. His contract is way too much for a not even top 80 right defenseman.

I've seen teams swallow contracts even worse than him many times. Specially Arizona. It's not the greatest idea in the world, but besides his contract, he could bring some quality and much needed experience to Arizona D. In one of the worst case scenarios, they could trade him 50% retaining at TD and get another pick. I can't see any other team that could make this work but Arizona.
