Copp is at the peak of his career as a sub 50 pt guy making nearly 6 mil for 4 more years.

Sharks don't want that contract and they very obviously wouldn't give up a 2nd to take it on

Oh you're a guy who only thinks hockey is played in one-zone.

Carry on.

This looks kinda cool but if Danielson is not in the NHL by this time we have a problem.

Lol why would detroit look to dump him then? It's a bad contract.

And you must be one of those guys who thinks a rebuilding team would want to give up high draft picks for those bad contracts. Sturm is making 2 mil with better defensive play than Copp, and Barabonov is making 2.5 with much better offensive production. Those two COMBINED still make significantly less than Copp who's pushing 30.

Not saying Copp is a bad player, but he's overpaid with too long of term. For SJ to give up significant assets for that is absurd

And you’re the guy who thinks other teams pay for your cap dump. Would rather put up 4 mil more and get Nylander and his 40 goals vs Copps 9 and save a higher 2nd

Exactly!!! And with the large amount of cap space next year I’d rather put up a few mil more and go after a legit 30-40 goal guy.

I'm not reading allat, but I'll state this.
A 2nd is too much.
Any reasonable return for him won't really be worth it.
We shouldn't be dumping him, when he gets depthed out at center he'll be a fine 3LW.

That's all; have a good day going delirious or whatever you two do.

You're not reading all that? Its like 5 sentences.

But that tracks, your clearly not the sharpest if you think it's smart to pay your 3rd line winger nearly 6 mil.

You really can't diss one's intellect when you're out here using the wrong "you're".
Regardless, it's less a matter of that, and more a matter of I don't really care what two of the five total Sharks fans think nor do I care to explain how Detroit's team is set to look like in the future.
Carry on with your day!

Bold move to correct grammar.

All you've done is insult and correct grammar and haven't had a come back to any actual hockey discussion. You won't even bother to read my responses because you know YOU'RE wrong lol

Right right.
I told you my opinion and you carried on the conversation in a (rather poor) attempt to criticize me, and not my opinion.

Carry on with your day! I don't care to explain to you my envision of the Red Wings, since you'd clearly wouldn't care to listen.

Then keep him. End of the day 6 mil for a 3C or LW is crazy

Because he's a top 10 pick and if he isn't playing in the NHL within 3 years that's not good.

Yikes is right. Considering we won't be signing Matthews we need our top picks to pan out.

If you don't expect Danielson to be an NHL center within 3 years then you never expect this core of players to be contending for much.
