I’m just not sure where we’d fit him long term with Mika, Chytil and Trocheck all signed for the next 4 years. Plus if we offload Trouba at some point we’re gonna need Schneider to step into the top 4 role behind Fox. Value wise, it’s a decent trade for us, but the fit both now and long term doesn’t appear to be right. Pretty sure both Rangers and Sabres fans will complain, but nice job overall, this team would be a wagon as they mature.

Nadeau, Kozak, or Cederqvist all likely to get shots in the bottom 6 by 2025-2026. I'm sure one or two of them earn a spot over Girgensons (as much as I like Z). Also Ryan Johnson undoubtedly is a regular on the D-core. Clifton would likely be traded or be the 7th D man. No need for Larsson, Samuelsson pairs with Dahlin. Schneider would be great but doubtful the Rangers deal him.

I applaud the effort but it's hard enough to forecast what could happen with the roster during the coming season and the season thereafter - to guess on what could happen without knowing which players are on which teams or even in the NHL in 2 seasons seems impossible.
