There are few in NCAA more fun to watch too. He had some bad luck in High School (registered late one year, Covid, injuries) that limited him to one full varsity season, which he played split season. This was, in part, one of the reasons he was under-drafted. But he had one of the best post-seasons in Minnesota HS hockey history. With new screws placed in his broken leg, the 140 lb kid, put his team on his back, scored a point on every one of his teams goals in semi-finals and finals, including OT winner to win it all. Then leaves immediately for USHL, and scores to win their playoffs too. Legend.

It's stupid how many of these guys have NHL upside. Carolina's prospect pool oddly resembles the team. No genuine blue-chip guy, but like what 70% of these guys have NHL potential.

Do have a couple of interesting rankings here. Not so sure how Mukhanov is above Trikozov and Nadeau. Lucius, Koivunen, and Blake should all be higher, with Blake being considered for the top RW spot. As for C, Suzuki, Pashin, Ponomarev, and Rees are all at the top, what order really doesn’t matter. No problems with LD, except I would have Mendel a bit higher. RD, Morrow and Heimosalmi are interchangeable whetehr you are looking for offense or defense. I would argue Morrow has the higher upside of the 2. As for goaltending, no major problems, but would just have Vondras a bit closer to Hamrla.

Great ranking regardless.
