Sorry Rangers Detroit deserved to get him

Created by: Aebexz
Team: 2023-24 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 30, 2023
Published: Jul. 30, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I find it weird that no team has done this. New York can’t afford him and it only cost a 2nd and the relationship with New York Ranger. Guess that Fabbri becomes expendable after this, especially considering his injury history.

Rangers can probably match anything that compensates them with 2nd or less. 1-year, $6.5m is probably where things change.

That 2020 draft is one of if not the most obvious case of a draft being rigged in sports history

How would they manage that? Regarding their cap situation and how most of their expendable players are making nothing

They can go 20 man roster with no extras. It puts them in extra cap hell and no call-ups until LTIR is used. But they aren’t letting Laffy go for only a 2nd lol

Fair enough. A 1st and a 3rd is still a decent cost to get him for Detroit though.

Well at that point it’s pushing cap territory the rangers can’t afford unless they attach a lot of picks to dump goodrow

Deserve or not deserve isn't the main question, have they allowed him to develop? Same for the other first round flops.

They have a week to sort things out and besides Detroit really doesn't need Lafrenière bad enough to offer sheet him. With the amount of offer sheets that actually go through it isn't a common occurrence and the team getting offer sheeted is going to be pissed off. There is a chance the Rangers might be looking to move Trouba fairly cheap in the near future and Detroit could use Trouba a lot more than Lafrenière so why piss them off for a player Detroit doesn't need.

NO TEAM is going to go with a 20 man roster they would have nothing left for the playoffs if they could even make the playoffs.

There is only one draft that could even be considered as being rigged and thats the 2005 draft. But even with that draft there isn't any concrete proof. Now considering that Pittsburgh probably would've gone bankrupt before the end of the 2005-06 season so giving them Crosby in order to keep the team afloat is a no brainer.

They’re coming off 107 and 110 point seasons with the same players basically lol they’re likely the 3rd seed in the metro

It wouldn’t be 20 man roster for the whole season. Just up until the accrue cap for call-ups lol

It is probably better to just trade for him, and sign him to a reasonable contract, because you will need to give him a QO in a couple of years.
