Only thing I would change is not giving Nylander a sweater (he's just not good enough unfortunately unless he's had major improvement this offseason which I don't forsee) and then based on Puusty performance until Jake returns determines who between him and Nylander is sent to WBS if pussty performs he keeps his lineup spot but drops to third line when Jake returns

The Karlsson trade is ok. Sharks don't really need LD. The retention is fine. But 3,500,000 is 30%. We'll take cap dump Granny. But what is Detroit supposed to do with Petry? Their D is set.

I'd rather have Nylander than Carter play... But I agree on sending one of them down once Jake comes back.

I tried to find a player on the team who had roughly the same 5v5 time with Nylander as he did Carter......... The answer was surprisingly Geno and Zucker.

Geno with AN: 3.49x/GF vs 1.91x/GA 55:16 TOI
Geno with JC: 2.31x/GF vs 1.6x/GA 41:04 TOI
Geno w/o both: 59.64x/GF vs 47.27x/GA 1027:27 TOI

Zucker with AN: 3.63x/GF vs 2.11x/GA 56:36 TOI
Zucker with JC: 5.21x/GF vs 1.74x/GA 65:13 (number I find most shocking that x/GA)
Zucker w/o both: 55.37x/GF vs 44.53x/GA 954:28


So I feel Nylander is honestly close to Carter level of bad which probably is why Sully didn't want to use him when he had him just doesn't fit the system (at least Carter wins FOs don't get me wrong he still sucks)

No one is taking Petry for free, let alone paying ANYTHING, he's a cap dump through and through
