Patrick is probably done. Toews may be too.

Brassard would be good PTO signing.

Have to imagine Suter is trying to work out a deal somewhere for at least 2 mill. I would kill to have him in Colorado as a PTO, but then again the market is strange this year. I think he's a steal for whoever can get him.

Suter Staal and Toews aren't signing PTOs

Nolan Patricks career is likely over, Which is a shame.

Eric Staal? Don't bother with the PTO at all, just straight up give the man a contract. He's worth it.

Pius Suter? How is he worth $2M? I think he'd be lucky to get $1M.

Brassard doesn't PK, I'd offer Staal a contract first.

he's an incredible PKer and his defensive analytics are super good, he'd be a big boost anyone's Bottom 6 and PK, If anyone signs him for less than 1.6M that would be a great steal

yeah the market is super weird and most of the if not all the contenders are cap strapped so his he wants a chance to win I could see him maybe taking 1.2M or less for 1yr if he cares about $ i could see philly or Winnipeg picking him up for 1.8M+

It's Bargain bin season right now. If UFA's want NHL jobs next season they'll have to lower their expectations. Otherwise GM's will just fill out their rosters with cheap, young players playing on entry level contracts. Or signing players to PTOs.

Suter was making 3.25 mil. He'll get half that in my opinion. 1.5 mil even. It's bargain bin season and beggars can't be choosers in August.

Exactly. That's why I think he'll get much less. His scoring was 4th line rate last year, sub replacement level.

I believe Suter did spend some time as a healthy scratch last season. But his second half he was much better. In Detroit he was signed to be a 2C. He just isn't suited for a top 6 role. But he's a good bottom 6er in my opinion. On a team like Edmonton I think he'd do very well.

Staal signed a PTO last year. He'll probably have to do it again.

I really hate that Bouchard contract. He'll take it to the bank in 24 months.

NHL seasons of 27, 36, and 24 points. In this market, that's a 2 million dollar player.

There's not very many teams with the cap space to pay a 4C that kind of money. I just don't see it happening. He brings PK / defensive ability for 12 minutes or so per game but virtually no offense.

Completely agree with your first statement, teams who are looking for depth right now aren't going to offer him that money because they can't. There ARE a few teams who have plenty of cap space that I would be he is trying to negotiate some money out of. He made 3.2 per on his last contract. I imagine he is knocking on the few non-contenders doors to see if he can only take a 1.2 mill pay cut. If he cared about playing for a cup, he would've already signed a 1-1.2 mill deal with someone.
