Description
Ignore the fact that this wouldn't never happen and the cap issues. Is the downgrade of Carlo to Tanev equal to the upgrade of Gryz to Hanafin?

If we're talking just for next season, Tanev is an upgrade over Carlo. Long-term is a different story.

For just next season I would take Hanifin-Tanev. Long term I'm taking the younger duo.

Four years of Carlo especially at his 4.1m X 4 is worth a lot more than one year of 4.9m Hanifan and 4.5m Tanev .

It wasn't meant to be a trade. But it does address getting something back for 2 players you may lose for nothing

Carlo and Tanev play very similar styles and play similar roles on their teams. Tanev is older, and more expensive. And I would say that Carlo has better positioning and shot, while Tanev plays more physically. All that being said, Carlo>Tanev.

But it's a trade that would never happen, it's more 2 sets of similar players and I was curious what people thought about the value of swapping them. Best case scenario is obviously Hanafin and Carlo, which we might very well see in the 24-25 season

If it were for one season, I think any GM takes Tanev over Carlo…but on current contracts, I hear you.
