Someone will likely get Injured in pre-season and the Tree will be cap compliant.

So the Leafs might lose Giordano to waivers as their seventh Dman. And really there isn't one competent NHL Dman with the Marlies.

Who would you move to make a 22 man roster? Brodie or Nylander because moving Jarnkrok doesn't allow it.

Even Brodie and Nyklander may not allow it.with their M NTCs and teams on their trade list can't afford their cap either.

Agree they will be tough to move. Dubass gave everyone including the Zamboni driver a NTC or NMC.angry

I don't why folks think Dubas was a good GM. Poor negotiator, horrible trades (trading away all those draft picks for nothing, poor drafting. And as you suggest those NTCs.

That really bothers me. Especially in regards to Murray. No one "convinced" him to be injured, if he can play he will want to play because he believes in himself and wants to continue his career. These goons accusing him or the Leafs of "faking" and injury is nonsense and totally disrespectful.

He absolutely was a great GM. He kept this team together and built a contender when everyone said he couldn't do it. Sure they didn't win under his watch but that's not on him. He made smart trades that didn't pan out with a cup but really moving futures to win now is how GM's operate in this world

A injury would only help them get cap compliant if it's LTIR eligible. Just any old minor injury just complicated the cap more
