LOL Not even close. That wouldn't get Hanifin alone and Lindholm is worth more than he is.

Is it true that Hanifin, Lindolm, Backlund and Markstrom all want to test the UFA ?

After Gaudreau and Tkachuck wth is going in Calgary!?

Hanifin yes but Lindholm and Backlund haven't decided if they'll extend in Calgary or not yet. Lindholm is the one they really need to extend. Hanifin it isn't surprising he wants out considering he's from Boston (American players really hated the panicdemic restrictions in Canada) plus former Flames GM Treliving shopped him every summer for the last few years. Markstrom said he wants to stay but he knows he's practically untradeable after last year.

I see, good luck trading them for a great return then.. the valor of the players fall massively when they could lose them for nothing at the ufa.

Not when they're 1st line forwards or 1st pairing defensemen especially not if they agree to extend with the acquiring team. Lindholm with an extension will fetch at least as much as Horvat did and likely more. They're the same age both are centers but Lindholm is the better player and he's a right shot too. The Horvat trade was a little different situation too Vancouver couldn't afford to extend him since the cap wasn't going up very much this coming season when his extension kicks in. Calgary can afford to extend Lindholm with the cap expected to go up by 5-6 million in 24-25 when his next contract will start.

I hope for calgary, they went from solid contender 2 years ago to an average team in 24-25 if they lose those players for nothing.

There's just too much nonsense thrown around about Petry. Yes, he is not the top-pairing RD he once was, but he still got value and a contender would pay much more than a 5th to have him at 2.35M. Hughes would not touch this trade on worst day.

Yeah exactly, Petry at 2.3m is a good asset to obtain (Top 4 RD) and with Went Hughes ability i can't wait to see the return.
