Yea that’s risky! I don’t think you should rush any player to the NHL to quick. Especially goalies.

1st-10th OA picks need 1-2 years before the NHL
11-32 OA need 2-3 years
2nd - round need 3-4
3rd + usually 3-5
Goalies need at least 3 up to 6 to be NHL ready.

There are always exceptions… but every fan should expect those timelines and if they come sooner you get to be pleasantly surprised.

TB has been patient with Alnefelt. Developing him the right way. I'm guessing they'd like him to spend another season in Syracuse. But there's literally nothing left in the UFA market for goalies. Sure, but like with Montreal Suzuki and Dach are better than Zacha and Coyle by a lot, but look at literally every other spot in the lineup and Boston is better apart from possible Caufield depending if he's on the 1st or 2nd line. Literally every single one. The top 2 centers being better is a drop in the bucket then.
