I really only see Tatar taking that low of a salary if it's with New Jersey or if he ends up on a PTO

Well according to rumors he wants a multi year contract. Cap hit isn’t the issue, just the length.

Highly doubt Nieto gets waived instead of Pitlick once Guentzel is back

Probably best to send down Pitlick based on cap hit. That way you can give Tatar as much as possible.

Plus based on how early Dubas signed Nieto I feel like he really likes him and he'll be on the roster.

Nieto was an early free agent signing that fits Sully's system. He will definitely get a jersey. Pitlick really has to shine in camp. A toss in from a big trade usually doesn't make an impact.
