Jaromir Jagr is 51 years old and he still has not yet retired from his playing career.

He is currently playing RW for a team in the Czech Extraliga based in his hometown of Kladno.

He is also the sole owner of that team.




Barring any rule changes in the Czech Extraliga, Jagr could conceivably play for Kladno for the rest of his life and never announce his retirement.

No matter how old he gets or how poorly he plays.

Because he owns the team and can do whatever he wants with it.

I hope he's 75 one day and still not retired. Playing pond hockey with dudes half his age.

I believe this is part of the problem with Jagr. Him referring to his play as "making a fool of myself" sort of leads me to believe he doesn't want to continue playing, which if the case sucks for him.
