It would be ideal to move Manson to pay the cost of keeping Toews (if Avs indeed look to the D instead of O to cover the cost of keeping Toews). There are a handful of potential free agents in 2024 to help bolster the D, too. If Meyers is only worth $850K/yr after this season, I'm guessing Avs just move on from him.

I think Manson or Girard gets moved next summer. There is also significant possibility for Toews right to be traded ala what the Devils did with Severson to the Blue Jackets. I don't think Meyers is much more than 4th line player, maybe they give him LOC type contract, if he show's more consistency.

SEA declines, not because of value or anything, but because they can't afford Manson either. After resigning Dunn, SEA has just under 1mil in cap. Bringing in Manson would put them over the cap, and then they have to make another move to get back under.

Its next year. kraken has to sign Beniers other than that no , major items. Manson will basically replace Schultz on D

My bad, brain just decided to not work there. I'd say SEA would likely accept. The only other major player SEA would have to look at is Eberle, but he likely takes a bit less than he makes now, and SEA gets to shed Dreiger's contract.

Tolvanen would also need to be resigned as he was great on the 3rd line after he got picked up, but it should be a pretty reasonable contract

That's the truth on Ben Meyers. If he does well, he'll get himself a 1.2-1.3, similar in value to LOC's contract. If he doesn't do well, we'll try another avenue.
