There's no incentive for Winnipeg to trade a 40G 1C for nothing of value outside of a 1st.

Vancouver isn't doing that for one year of Nylander. More silliness thinking Brodie waives to Anahaim.

Obviously they negotiate a contract afterwards, I don't care which team Brodie is traded to, and neither of us are in a position to theorize....

You make a trade and which is a "theory" and you don't think I have the right "theorize" over what is on a trade list. You can sure Brodie on his 10 no team trade list would include any lousy team with cap, and especially one in travel unfriendly Western Conference. Don't think you understand "UFA", Sure the Canucks can negotiate with Nylander but Nylander has a choice of any team come July .
I'm sure the Bruins/Hawks/Minnesota/ negotiated with Bertuzzi, Domi, Klingberg, but they signed as UFAs. with the Leafs, Same thing happened to about 100 UFAs this summer.

Why not. Does any reasonable person think Brodie a Toronto area guy, on a good Leaf team, is waiving to go from a non playoff team in the travel unfriendly western conference?
It's udder silliness for any fan trying to make a good post would ignore obvious trade restrictions.

And what about Gavrikov, Huberdeau, Weegar, Barbashev, Horvat? Nylander would have to accept a trade to VAN and VAN would have to be willing to give him the contract he's after, it's just a matter of putting pen to paper at that point. Like I said, I don't care what team Brodie is traded to, it's just a 3rd round pick.

Well, there may not be a team on Brodie's 10 team trade list, that can afford his cap. Even Nylander has M NTC. Let's say he is traded to the Canucks....gee sounds like you're saying the Canucks HAVE to sign Nylander to overpay contract to justify the trade in the first place. For Canucks fans sake, I hope not. And for Nylander's sanity, I hope you just doesn't "take the money" cause it will be long unsatisfactory time in Vancouver, if Willy has any regard to winning.

Brodie is a top 4 shutdown D, it's reasonable to assume one of ten teams could accommodate his contract, even if a 3rd team needs to be involved. And I'm not saying they need to overpay, I'm saying they need to be willing to pay what he's asking for. I really don't care how "satisfactory" his time in Vancouver ends up being...

Says who? And he didn't grow up a Leafs fan, So what makes you think he'd waive to go there?

He was very non-committal which is usually a pretty clear sign. The reasons for him waiving to go to Toronto from WPG are obvious... Close to home, cup contender, first class organization... The better question is what makes you think he's pass on that opportunity to stay with this Jets team?

Peeke is on the trade block because CBJ need to clear out D, not add them. He’s only getting traded for futures or waivers-exempt guys.
