It's already been reported that Matthews will get $13,500,000 x 4-5 years. He wants to cash in on a bigger payday sooner rather than later. Once the salary cap increases big time.

People need to realize that Domi isn't a good center and Kampf is 3C. Having your best shutdown center on the 4th line who last season took almost all the d-zone faceoffs won't work.

I dont understand or can comprehend how he deserves that kind of money. so many other players have had better production (reg and Post season) and get paid less.

They are arguably the 3 best players in the world and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would find that amusing. At the start of next season he will be the highest paid player in the league but I really have no idea how much he will get.
