If Thomson isn;t pushing into the roster this year, his value will start to drop ever so slightly. I think you;d have to add a 2024 2nd at least to this

No trade involving TK is happening without a 1st rounder attached.

The teams might not be the perfect fit but this is the way Sens would need to trade Brannstrom and Forsberg and yes that is their value despite some external fans not knowing that

It’s not enough for Konecny but don’t even bother doing this trade. Look at the UFA market, PLENTY of good forwards. Don’t sign Kubalik and go for a big fish instead. Dorion just signed Giroux and Tarasenko back to back so Ottawa is able to attract UFAs


I agree that a 1st is missing here but if Briere wants 2 firsts and 2 good prospects he’s going to wait for a while… what was the ask for Hayes? Because the result is a 6th for Hayes 50% retained

I stated above I forgot to include that this would be a trade deadline move, not a pre-season move. This year's draft will be another draft where teams will be hesitant to move their 1st rounders for rentals. So I tried to compensate for that. I don't see Ottawa surrendering a 1st rounder for a rental. Ottawa is indesperate need to replenish their prospect ranks. We have guys that can eventually come in and be good 3rd or 4th liners, but Giroux and Tarasenko won't be here long-term or at the level they are now. To be able to keep your cap in check you need those 1st rounders on ELC that can eventually slide into your top 6. Outside of Greig where he might be an average at best 2nd liner or a top end 3rd liner? We will need more than that if we expect to have a decent length window.

Yeah then we will find a cheaper one or sign on in free agency
