There's nothing in that return interesting for Pesce, and I'm not convinced there is enough quantity in this deal anyway. Any deal for Pesce needs to start with a young NHL ready RD and a 1st ideally. In other ACGM's on here, it's been Timothy Liljegren in Toronto or Jokiharju in Buffalo. It's probably still light so you're looking at something on top of that too. Asking for one of the Canes netminding trio too is going to cost more. Beauvillier could be had for what, maybe a 3rd? Klimovich is not special, Martin offers nothing and is a downgrade from Raanta, and the 2nd doesn't do anything, AND it's a year away

This. Its not like the Canes are rebuilding and have to trade Pesce for whatever they can get. They can very well just hang on to him and have one more run with him on the roster. Unless they get an upgrade to the roster or a high end prospect, theres no point in trading him. I'd rather have a better shot at a cup this year than an ok prospect and a 2nd. That's what i don't get about all these acgms sending scraps to the Canes for Pesce when they're a top contender in the league.
