So I think Novak had a killer season and plays high up in the lineup- I also think Colorados Centre projects fail and they look to add some depth- only question is if Nashville can get more than a 1st for two rentals

If Novak is producing at a 50+ point pace and somebody wanted to pay a first for him alone, I'd package Barrie elsewhere for more picks.
I'm hoping that's the case at least

NSH would decline this as they would want more for both of those players. With how cash strapped COL is right now between retaining that much on Barrie and sending them Novak, who just came off a season at nearly a point per game level, assuming he maintains that level of play, it would cost more than what would equate to a low 1st round pick.

I agree with ya! Do you think they will trade or resign Novak?

I'm hoping they don't resign. If we can somehow squeeze a 1st round pick for him at the TDL see ya later

Yea I agree! Or do they resign Novak and get him under a good contract cause of his lack of games played so far, could see him extending at under 4 per

I’ve always been a Barrie fan but Colorado is maybe the worst fit for him in the league. His biggest value is as a PP QB. He won’t get PP1 time over Makar. And the Avs already run 3 defenseman on PP2 because of the glut of PP QB talent.

Barrie is a "no" for the Avs but if Novak can duplicate what he did last season with similar TOI, the Avs could be interested, even at a slightly higher price.

Sissons would be the best fit of the NAS players for the Avs imho.

I wouldn't be opposed to NSH resigning him, but I'm going to reserve judgement on if they should or shouldn't sign him for after the start of the season. He is young enough to fit in NSH's timeline for competing, but old enough that if NSH wanted to sell high on him then they could. My only hesitation is that Novak and Evangelista showed great chemistry last year, so I wouldn't want to disrupt that.
