Tavares has a full no move clause. So he says no. Carolina also says no.

That Dallas trade is BAD for the Leafs. Brodie is by far the better dman. Hakanpaa is a 6th-7th physical defensive d. Brodie is a #3 defensive d man.

I'd welcome Tavares in Carolina, honestly. I truly believe in Carolina, Tavares could have a ton of success. I think he would actually be the most successful of Toronto's core four under Rod Brind'amour. At this price, keep him.
