The Sharks do all of these, but no chance anyone (except maybe the Duclair one) are reasonable for the other team. Labanc has next to no value even with retention, Barabonov is worth a 2nd + something small, Kahkonnen+Lindblom have negative value, and Hoffman isn't really worth anything either.

It will all depend on the seasins they have.

Duclair for a 2nd seems probable

Barabanov is only worth one 2nd

Edmonton might give the Sharks a 2nd or 1st to take Campbell. If Kahkonen rebounds he could add value to that trade and provide Edmonton with a shorter term / lower cost backup.

I doubt Edmonton would want Linblom thrown in.

Hard to say on Labanc and Hoffman. Retain on whichever one has the best year. A club that needs pp help might give a 4th - 7th.

Overall this post looks good. Other than being too high on Barabanov.

It will be interesting to see if the Sharks trade Granlund or Rutta this year even though they have two years left on their contracts.

Labanc does have value and good analytics, and with retention contract he's worth though im not sure hes someone the sharks should be using that last slot on. I wouldn't want to deal with Vegas under any circumstances after the hill deal lol. Kahk & Lindblom have negative value but not as negative a value as Jack Campbell

Mike Grier likely doesn't want to take on a 4x5 contract at the deadline, even for a 1st round pick, when his whole MO with the Karlsson trade was cap flexibility.

What is Edmonton paying a 1st + 3rd for? You aren't offering them any cap savings this year, in fact they're taking on an additional $250k. Why would they ever make a move like that midseason?

Terrible take.

Labanc is still a middle-6 winger with offensive upside, at 50% retention it makes him a lot closer to his market value (even below it).
Barabanov is a steal at his salary even without any retention and can easily slot into any team's top-6 at any role. A Hyman-type player.
No **** that Lindblom + Kahkonen have negative value, but that's kind of the point here (to offset Campbell salary for at least 1 season).
Hoffman isn't really worth nothing which is why I put him as being moved for a 7th.

Kevin Labanc was healthy scratched multiple times last year, and put up roughly .5p/gp while being absolutely terrible on defense, and having one of the worst penalty differentials in the league. All that for the low-low price of $4.7m/yr, or 2$2.35m with 50% retained. I'm not sure he would even get a 7th with retention, let alone more.

Barabonov is absolutely a steal at his salary, but I think his value is closer to a single 2nd rounder if there isn't any money being retained. If there end up being multiple teams trying to go after him at the deadline, I could see the price going up.

I don't see the Oilers doing that deal unless Campbell is even worse this year than he was last year, and Kahkonnen shows some actual signs of improvement (Or the Oilers go out and aquire an actual #1 goaltender). The Oilers would effectively be making themselves worse on paper all of a little bit of cap relief, which likely won't help them going into the playoffs.

Hoffman for a 7th is whatever, that's basically future considerations so a 7th is fine I guess.
