I figure Okposo, Eric Johnson, Girgensons and Olofsson will not come back - and the cap will go up 4-5 million

I think I know which Pens ACGM the Comrie trade came from, and I had the same criticisms of it there.
Comrie had a .886 in 19 games, Magnus Hellberg had a .888 in 18 games. The Penguins have a similar caliber goalie as their #3 already. On top of that, Joel Blomqvist is crossing the pond and should be getting AHL reps that Comrie would take from him.
Having the depth is nice, but I don't think having 2 meh veterans in the AHL is worth it unless we get decimated by injuries some time this season.
