In Recent News Of Quin Hughes Being Named Captain

Description
The top 2 players of each team I see being next captain of the teams without one.
For ANA my picks are either Strome or Zegras if he resigns.
Obviously for ARZ it'll probably be Keller or Crouse unless Cooley or another young gun steps up.
BOS it'll be Marchand but as a runner up I'd pick McAvoy.
Now CGY has lots of candidates but to narrow it down I'd have to go with Weegar or Andersson. Backlund would be on here if he decided to stay.
CHI has a choice, they can either wait till Bedard is ready for the C or if they want leadership right away they give it to Jones IMO.
For PHI I don't think they'll give it to Konecny but if Couturier is healthy he'd be the top candidate but other than that maybe Gauthier.
SEA has some good options as well but IMO I went with Beniers and Dunn but Larsson was close to take over Dunn.
STL I have a feeling it'll be Thomas but my second option is Leddy with 3 years left on his contract.
For WPG with Scheifele probably out it'll have to be Morrissey or Lowry but other notable players would be Perfetti, Lambert, Samberg, or maybe Stanley in the future or Connor or Ehlers are another two. Jets have lot's of options.

Hot take but I feel like Vilardi has a chance for captain. He's gonna be a star this year and if he can show leadership, he should be a great candidate

It'll be Bedard for Chicago. They gave Toews the C in year 2, I'd wager theyll do that again.

If they wanted to give one this season I think they'd probably go Murphy. Longest tenured hawk, has kept a good attitude through the lean years, and really involved around the city.

I like the McTavish and Laughton and Schenn idea but of the 3 I think McTavish is the closest to getting the C of those 3

Agreed I think Coots will take captain and then when he's done Cutter will take over

I would absolutely love TK as captain though

Blues options would be down to Schenn v Thomas and I don't think they're in any rush to name a 'C', going to see how things go with a leadership group of 'A's.
