Description

I hinted at this post a week ago with my Flordia trade description.
Lindholm, Backlund are both higher up if they had longer contracts.
IR are players that are either to young or to new IMO to be captain(Yes IK McDavid was named almost instantly but IDC
Decided to do this since ED has said Conroy plans on naming a captain, and Andersson is the leading candidate

Weegar gets my vote.

Great Speaker & Producer and he’s Signed Long-Term

Backlund was the guy but his lack of commitment has disqualified him and guys like Huberdeau, Lindholm, Hanifin & Andersson should focus on themselves and their games and leave being the front guy to Weegar

Coleman & Tanev are both on the wrong side of their careers in terms of age & future production, so it doesn’t make sense for them to become Captains

Anybody not mentioned above are simply not in contention or worth consideration for the Captaincy

Maybe Weegar passes the torch in a few years if/when Andersson commits long-term and after he’s done his part
