Holloway has lightyears more potential and more value you then Brannstrom nor would he be okay with being a healthy scratch if he did get traded lol

Isn’t brannstrom kind of a slightly older broberg? Fit doesn’t make sense for oilers, they already have a lot of left shot D

Brannstrom is far better than Broberg. He's got very strong underlying results, he's just small and doesn't put up points. I know Oilers still believe in Holloway so I doubt they'd really have interest though, but Brannstrom is without question the better NHL player right now.

Right idea but not the right team, Oilers don't need more D-men as of now

While he "doesn't put up points", he has averaged 24 pts per 82 games over the last 3 seasons...

Fair, but brannstrom is also two years older. I think brobergs 24 yo season could be very comparable to brannstroms. Obviously all hypothetical and we’ll have to wait and see

The fit is the main issue for me. I only see oil bringing in a right shot d that plays too 4 minutes.

Wouldn't say hes far better, they're fairly comparable at this point: Broberg and Brannstrom
This also includes 23 games of when Broberg was 20 years old (its a smaller sample size but Broberg is also young af).

Brannstrom doesn't make sense for us to acquire, our LHD are very strong after adding Ekholm and tbh if we move Holloway it's going to be for more than Brannstrom (no hate on him, he's an underrated player who could shine on a different team).

Broberg's on-ice numbers are actually better: Link.

Now consider Broberg is two years younger and 5 inches taller. And much faster. There simply is no reason for Edmonton to target Brannstrom.

Brannstrom didn't play his 24 y/o season yet, he turned 24 in September

Yes but you're using the last 2 seasons. Brannstrom took a MAJOR step last season, particularly defensively, which what you have provided also doesn't show

It doesn't mean that Broberg can't end up the better player (as he's younger) or that the Oilers would be looking to acquire Brannstrom but it was important to note.
