It’s a long shot. Watching him right now in the Rookie game vs the Flyers and he doesn’t really stand out except his shot on the PP

They can decide after that whether or not they send him back to junior without burning a year on his contract.

Pretty sure that doesn’t apply to him. He’ll be burning a year regardless in the NHL or AHL

I forgot we wasn't eligible to go back to junior. I would say he probably starts in the AHL.

He would have to blow the doors off in preseason to make the NHL lineup

Looked lazy imo. Like I get it's a rookie game but he didn't seem to try very much.

Overall it was a sloppy game. Guys kept falling and missing the puck. It is what it is haha

Haven’t kept up with the Gabe status. Is he in rookie games/training camp?

Robertson looked good too, didn't remember him being as big as he is. Hope he has a good camp.

I don’t think he pushes for the 3LD spot this year. Hopefully he’s healthy and has a huge AHL season and then in 24-25 he can slot in on the bottom pair with Schneider

The 6/7D spots are Gustafsson/Jones' to lose, especially since Jones lost his waiver eligibility... If Robertson has a good camp, it'll be huge for his confidence. Would much rather him as the D they call up in case of injury compared to Ben Harpur atm

I think the pecking order for 3LD is Gus > Jones > Mackey > Harpur for now. Depends what Robertson can do
