This is a horrible trade for Toronto.

Turcotte isn't worth anywhere near a 1st nevermind a 1sr and Robertson.

Robertson for Turcotte 1 for 1 is fair value. Or Turcotte for a 2nd definitely not Robertson and a 1st.

1 for 1 is a reach. Both injured a lot but turcotte wast still 5th overall and robertson was 50 something, same draft. Imo Toronto would have to add like 3rd and 4th to a 1 for 1.

Its pretty hard to argue that Robertson isn’t the better player right now, he’s put up significantly better numbers in the ahl and has managed to play more and produce more in the nhl as well while cracking a much better lineup in Toronto than LA has. If anything LA should be adding a pick to this deal.

La takes this without hesitation, but Toronto doesn’t do this.

Draft position for both of them doesn't matter. It's been 4 years since they were drafted, we should be looking at their performance and trajectory since, not a team's arbitrary player rankings when they were 17-18 years old.

By the logic you're using, Manny Malhotra is worth infinitely more than Pavel Datsyuk, since Malhotra was drafted 7th overall and Datsyuk was 171st overall in the 6th round in the same draft.

Turcotte has no value the guy is hardly worth a 3rd
