That would be an easy no for Chicago.

No need for another goalie or Jett Who.

I'm gonna disagree. For free, Hawks might take those two guys. Their both AHL depth. Martin is a veteran G who provides some added insurance when Mrazak inevitably gets hurt. Icehogs have 1 RD (Crevier). Even if Allan plays on the right side as expected, Woo can play on 3rd pair. I've got no issue adding adding experienced AHL depth to the Hogs roster if it costs Hawks nothing.

Perhaps but I think if the Hawks were seriously interested in veteran depth for the farm, they would have just offered PTOs for guy that were available up to a week or so ago.

Additionally, Davidson has mentioned that they could still look to the waiver wire as camp progresses which may give them access to a little higher quality of player.

Pretty bad look for ANA to trade Lyub right before training camp after targeting him frok BUF this off-season. If ANA wanted Myers they could’ve just done that with VAN instead

Thats why Vancouver includes a prospect and a 4th, Lyub is in his final year, and Anaheim can leverage that for future assets.

They are getting them for nothing and neither player effects the salary cap as they can dump them to the AHL. Its a no brainer.

Not sure I’d call Studnicka a prospect or much of an asset at this point. And I just don’t think you take reputational damage flipping a new addition right on the cusp of camp for the bonus of a 4th. Realistically, the ship has sailed on ANA taking Myers, VAN needs to find another suitor

Then why are you proposing to trade them? Dump them in Abbotsford if there are no cap implications. It’s a no brainer!

I would rather see the Hawks give the playing time to their own drafted prospects.
