On the one hand the last thing the Sabres need is another Center, but on the other, it’s impossible to imagine the Sabres having legitimate opportunity to bring in an elite level talent like Trevor Zegras and not doing it. If they could do it without giving up Jokiharju that would definitely make a difference.

Rather easily. Verbeek does not care for undersized players, at all, so Savoie is much less impressive to us. Then it's just the standard quality for quantity trade that Anaheim would not be accepting.

If the size of Savoie is an issue, he can easily be flipped for another prospect Verbeek likes- And that’s if your assumptions about player size are even true

Check the height and weight for literally every player Verbeek has drafted since he became GM.

I like Zegras but this trade is an overall loss for the Sabres
