I know you don't like Raymond but I think NYR takes that and runs! Trouba is overpaid in my opinion. Yes, we are getting rid of Chiarot, but still this shouldn't cost Raymond.

Why does Detroit even consider this?

"Raymond is soft, we need grit!"
Despite being soft, he still fetches 50 points. Plus, add onto the fact that, idk, players can get bulkier (which Raymond did); and you get an absolute horrendous proposal.

Detroit is not going to trade a 21 year old for a 29 year old. That is the exact opposite of everything Yzerman have been doing since he took over.
