A team might want the extra assets coming with Joseph
But some teams don’t have the place for Joseph in their top 12 … and it’s 3 years left on his contract, way too long

Crazy cuz he’s gonna bounce back. If you can a 2nd for him, that’s a steal. He doesn’t have to play with AHL level players this yewr

If he’s bouncing back from 20 points to 25 points you can keep him lol

Completely agree, I’m not touching his contract unless he comes with a 1st attached to him. He’s a 4th liner at best

I think he is a 3rd liner if he bounce back
But teams already have their own 3rd liners, and the contenders can't have 3rd liners making 3M

Habs decline. Sens don’t have the cap space to sign Pinto. Teams know that. They are gonna ask a ridiculous amount for helping them

Joseph destroyed the 3v3 league this summer, you know where Suzuki, Guhle, Letang, Drouin, Dubois, Perron, etc play. 25 goals in 7 games lol (double than the 2nd best scorer). The guy is dialed in to bounce back

That said, he's a defensive forward and PK expert, offense is a bonus for him. He has a career 30 pts per 82 games average even though a LOT of the minutes he played were 4th line (Tampa was the top contender) or PK.

Hockey fans in general have limited knowledge, particularly when it's outside of their favorite team. They might not want Joseph but a real life GM might, particularly if you can get an asset with him

I have talked a lot about the smart play for Ottawa, which would be to move Kubalik who is redundant and will have a hard time getting PP time with all the options there is. Plus he's UFA to be and will have to walk after the season.

And yet, he scores at a better rate (pts/60) than the guy you think has a 1st + 2nd value, WHILE being younger and better defensively at ES and PK.

Laughton is a glorified average 3rd liner. Joseph probably would have done better with the opportunity in Top-6 minutes and PP laughton has had in Philly

That poster had to put me on ignore as he was getting by my non-stop facts lol

I agree with you that Joseph is a decent bottom six forward, but MTL still decline nonetheless
We ... have ... too .. many ... wingers ...
Kubalik & Brannstrom should be moved before Joseph tho
