Description
You then have about 19 mil to sign Peterka, Quinn, Levi, Johnson, Kozak, and Rousek next offseason which is a tight squeeze:

Peterka- 5.5
Quinn- 6.5
Levi- 4
Johnson- 2.5
Kozak- 1
Rousek- 1

That's about 1.5 mil over the space you have, so one could always part with Clifton to clear room

If I’m BUF I’m resisting the urge to make a big move just yet. They’ve got a legit 1-2 center combo, a legit #1 dman and another with potential, some talented wingers the last thing you want to do is blow your wad on the first trade. Maybe Savoie turns into a 30+ goal scorer. BUF is so close be patient for the right guy.

Caufield could be a comparable. Both are super overhyped. Dahlin is worth 10.5 but may take a bit less, time will tell. Matt Roy is not being overpaid here. 6.5 is good market value for him, he's an incredible player

Mitts > Zegras at this point. Why are you giving up so much?

No chance you are signing Dahlin, nor Power for so little. Then it's kind of funny how much you are handing out to JJP, Quinn and Levi.

We just gave up a 2nd + 5th for Greenway...talk about bad asset mgmt.
Joker is also worth more than a 3rd.

No, this does not work...I mean not in a good way.

You are paying for the potential in Zegras. Mittelstadt is a 50-60 point 2nd or 3rd line guy. Savoie is a great prospect but as of yet unproven. Zegras has the potential to be a ppg difference maker and that's highly valuable imo. Dahlin could sign for anywhere in the 9.5-11 range, I took the slightly lower end in hopes it happens. Power gets a bridge identical to Dahlin's. That is very realistic for a bridge imo. JJ and Quinn would be signing long-term (6-8 years) at those AAVs. Levi I'd imagine would be a Jake Oettinger comparable at a 3x4. Greenway I personally am not a fan of, if he isn't making a difference on our team than it doesn't matter what we gave up for him, we shouldn't be obligated to keep him around. Jokiharju is a 3rd pair D man who has great lapses in judgement, not worth much more than a 3rd imo

You do understand that the cap goes up, right? Why would Power sign a contract that is outdated?

Because its a bridge deal so he can cash in more on the next deal when the cap is even higher and the team can afford a larger AAV. Maybe the bridge would be 6.5 or 7 mil but regardless the point I'm making is I'd sooner bridge him than sign him to 8 years. He's only got 1 year under his belt, I'd like to see more from him and then pay him what he is worth
