in this, the 2nd is conditional on how many games norris plays for anahiem. it would turn into a first if he misses more than 20 games since he does have injury concerns.

Don’t think Ottawa has the assets for Zegras; at least what Anaheim would looks for

I'm a big fan of Norris but I don't think the Ducks would/should do this. His injury history is something that could scare them away.

Neither team does this.

Ducks don't do this because of the risks with Norris and his injury history.

The Senators don't do this because of how it disrupts team chemistry. Norris is best friends with Tkachuk.

Also, if the Ducks don't want to pay Zegras on a long-term deal, and are haggling over a bridge deal, I assume they don't want to take on a player with a much bigger ticket. Otherwise, why not just sign Zegras to 6-8 years at 8.XXM per?

Norris is the better player, but on paper I would take Zegras because the Norris contract worries me with his injury history. With Stutzle slotted in as the 1C, the difference between Norris and Zegras at 2C would be less of an issue.
