I wouldn't trade Trocheck for Z straight up. And yes I fully am aware he is worth more but I wouldn't personally so that.

Never specifically heard him on trade block...but a week or so ago I thought there were some rumblings from Verbeek (or the org) that they were questioning whether Zegras was a player they wanted to commit to (long term, I guess) going forward. Since then there have been a horde of Zegras trades every day on this site. Who knows- maybe what was said about Zegras was just posturing...part of the negotiation process. In any case, just like NYR would be crazy to devalue LaF, ANA would be crazy to move on from Zegras unless they received a very generous offer.

No, he's not. And your statement about Trochek is even more delusional. He's literally a high end 2C and his contract is fine. The only reason Ranger fans want him potentially moved is to make room for Chytil. But Trochek has done nothing wrong and it's not his fault that the GM constructed the roster terribly and didn't trust Chytil to be 2C. But Trochek is great. And so is Lafreniere.

He's not only a "legit" 2C but he's a HIGH END 2C. Quietly puts up 64 points (not to mention his dozen posts hit), excellent at FOs, and is a pest and gets no appreciation for it.

There is nothing offensively chytil does better than zegras. Miller and Chytil are complimentary players

Miller, I could see as a complimentary player but he hasn't even come close to hitting his peak so we don't know yet

Chytil on the other hand is already a game breaker. Give it about 2 years and he will be THE #1 guy on the Rangers (outside of Fox and Shesterkin). I would take him over Zegras in every way. He's defensively responsible unlike Zegras, he's faster than Zegras, has a better shot than Zegras, is bigger and stronger than Zegras. Oh, and he scored just about the same amount of goals last season as Zegras did. Except Chytil did it stapled to the third line all year playing 13 minutes a night and no PP time compared to Zegras' 19 mins a night. So it's not even close. Chytil is better than Zegras he just gets overshadowed by people like Zibanejad. But not for long.

He's the Rangers leading scorer at 5v5 since he joined. What's not great about that
