Anyone have thoughts either way on Tommy Novak in Nsh? UFA C. 23 pts, making $800K. Thinking of other manes and saw his.

Offensive center that doesn’t provide much more than Haula…step up from Tierney, but cost/reward probably better for other teams.

Same thought process as Monahan. Not good enough defensively or on the PK for what we need. Will be worth it to somebody tho

Little worried about rushing Jack back…those wrist injuries can be tricky. Will be interesting if his release will be the same.

But, man, it will be good to get him back in fold.

The whole team plays different
3rd line mins is fine (I think)
Do they have any **** goons on their roster?

We have zero goons. Big Nate if needed. Bahl has answered call a couple of times. You think we need a Jack protector?

I mean Foligno taking Smitty on after hurting Bedard made me feel good (for them). Not the guy but Zadorov is good at it.

Problem with goons is that you have to play them.
When goons play, they do goon things.
When they do goon things, our stars become targets.

If at all possible, I’d rather see 19 other teammates respond if there is anything afoul.

(But it would be satisfying to see Geertsen back and answering some of these cheap shots we see)

I agree with all of the above. Geertsen was good at 1st and then wilted IMO. Foligno is the type of guy I guess a player who can handle stuff like that. Goon may be too much as you said.

Some heavies would be great, if they can play.

Now that McLeod is gone, we probably should be in market for center that can grind dmen and peel puck off boards. Not sure who that guy is….Dowd, Gourde, Howden…but arn’t really goons. Are there any heavies available that play center?
