The most confusing this is Liljegren looked way better than he did. Lily was very sound in his zone. Didn't make any mistakes and looked really good. I thought Timmins looked good on the PP and when in the offensive zone but gets a little out of sorts in his zone.

Yeah... But some people only care about points and assists or big hitters... just ask some Leafs fans

Why? We have two RHD who are not getting supplanted by Liljegren who are signed for 3+ more years in which time Liljegren won’t be under team control. It’s a lose lose. He either plays well enough to knock one down and then we have a 6.5m defenseman signed long term getting limited minutes, or he gets limited usage and effectively a 2nd was traded for that and then you can’t re-sign him.
